Spiritomb is so cool! Not widely considered to be a very good pokemon, I think a gen 4 restricted draft league is just the place for this guy to shine. Dark/ghost is fantastic typing, you only have 1 weakness and it’s Fairy, which is pretty good in a format with only one viable fairy type. In most matchups, this means it’s virtually impossible to hit this pokemon for super effective STAB damage, which is just as well for Spiritomb, who is so bulky it’s spOOoOoooOky! 50 HP is bad but not when you also have 108 Defense and Special Defense. Zoo-wee-mama! 35 Speed makes this the ultimate Trick Room support, or even a Trick Room setter if you want. Helping Hand, Disable, Pain Split, Snarl, Taunt, the list goes on. 92 Attack and Special Attack is nothing to write home about but it’s versatile, plus it gets Infiltrator, which could make it useful at dealing damage in certain screen-heavy matchups. Don’t count on it for coverage moves, though. It’s just the standard ghost type spread here. Burning Jealousy does exist though. Anyway, yeah, Spiritomb is awesome. Get it at a bargain in a 5th or 6th round pick and you’ll be sitting pretty.
