Arceus is the god of Pokemon and for good reason. It has 120 in every stat and the ability to change type based on what plate it holds. It has a signature move Judgement that is a 100 power special attack that matches the type of the plate it is holding as well. Arceus has an extremely deep move pool that even includes Palkia’s signature Spacial Rend alongside Tailwind and Trick Room. At 120 speed, it is one of the fastest Tailwind users and screen setters. This is kind of the perfect draft league pokemon with its immense power matched by its immense versatility. Giving up an item slot is usually a price worth paying for getting an incredibly strong and bulky pokemon of any type you want, but if not, normal is a fairly good type to begin with. Arceus should almost undoubtedly be picked first overall.
